The murder of Mary Phagan
Mary Phagan was a 13 year old girl, who was raped and murdered by the supervisor Leo Frank in the National Pencil company where she worked for only $1,20 monthly.
On 25th August, 1913 this young girl came to Leo’s office to pick her paycheck, not knowing that the supervisor is a bisexual maniac and he planes to rape her before giving the money. But not everything went according his plan. He hits Mary in her struggle for escaping and she went unconscious. Raping the little girl, he realized that when waking up, she may turn him to the police, so he decides to kill her.
For this murder and other crimes in the past related with sexual harassment, the penalty imposed by the court was lynching.
