Second Sino-Japanese War, 1937

On 7th July, 1937 military conflict between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan occurred. It lasted until 9th September, 1945 and was followed by the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894 that lasted one year.

In this war, China won with economic help from Germany, the Soviet Union and the United States. The Second Sino-Japanese War was the largest Asian war in the 20th century. Between 10 and 25 million Chinese civilians and over 4 million Chinese and Japanese military personnel lost their lives.
