Old streets in Paris that don’t exist anymore, 1898

In 1853 by the instructions of Emperor Napoleon III modernization in Paris began and lasted till 1927.

In that period of modernisation, a lot of shops, streets and architectural details were changed or vanished.

Before that happens, photographer Eugene Atget in 1898 had a mission filming all the old streets in Paris before they were destroyed.
