Munich, 1938

On September 30th, 1938, the Munich Agreement was signed. The agreement was signed by Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Nazi Germany annexed Sudetenland (the portions of Czechoslovakia, was inhabited with people, who spoke German). Sometimes, this pact is called a Munich Betrayal, because Czechoslovakian military’s alliance with great Britain and France proved useless.
