John Nance Garner, 1937

John Nance Garner (a.k.a Cactus Jack) was 32nd Vice President of the United States from 1933 until 1941. In 1932 he was a candidate for the presidency, but became Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s vice president. In 1940, Garner challenged him for the Democratic presidential nomination, but lost.
