Berlin wall in the 1970s

This famous wall in Berlin was a barrier that divided the city from 1961 until 1989. Constructed by the German Democratic Republic, on August 31, the wall cut off West Berlin from East Berlin.

It was officially opened in November 1989 by the government. Its demolition began on 13 June 1990, lasted two years, and this is how the wall looked like in his time of existence.
